Everybody who visits the park, or the Arboreto, is enchanted by the richness of its flora and also has the opportunity of seeing many species close to extinction, such as: pau-brasil, yellow araçá and pau-mulato.
The Barbosa Rodrigues Alley is another thrilling visit. The beauty of its Imperial Palms together with the Royal Academy of Fine Arts' Gate is an exciting experience.
The park unfolds us some other beauties: flower beds, such as the medicinal plant bed, greenhouses, the Japanese Garden, the Sensorial Garden, historical and contemporary buildings and monuments, a diversified fauna, and aquatic plants adorning its six lakes, like: vitória-régia, lotus, papirus, ninféias, aguá-pé, among others.

The park is open Monday to Sunday, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. It has two different gates, at Rua Jardim Botânico 920 and 1008. The second entrance takes to the Visitors Center, where we have our reception and also a parking lot.
